What is cruise travel insurance?

Cruise travel insurance is a specific travel insurance policy that covers the activities and risks more likely to be associated with a cruise holiday in addition to the cover on a standard travel insurance policy.

What does cruise travel insurance cover?

A cruise travel insurance policy will cover you for medical expenses that you need to pay if you fall ill or injure yourself while on your cruise liner or on land on one of the many excutions you are sure to include. It also includes repatriation cover should you need to be brought home early or transportation to a land based hospital if you need medical attention while cruising. Cancellation cover is included from the day you purchase your policy and there is also cover for lost or stolen baggage or valuables. In addition to these benefits some insurers on our panel include cabin confinement and cruise interruption cover, which would cover you if you need treatment on dry land but are then passed fit and well to rejoin your cruise.
