Pamplona gained worldwide notoriety when Earnest Hemingway wrote the classic novel The Sun Also Rises, causing countless adventure seekers to participate in the enthralling and dangerous Running of the Bulls. The city has a number of tourist attractions such as the Museum of Navarra. This museum contains an outstanding collection of Flemish paintings on copper as well as a painting by Goya entitled Marquis of San Adrianx. Other noteworthy attractions include the Palace of Navarra and the gorgeous La Taconera Park where visitors can see deer, swans, dwarf goats and colourful peacocks grandly strutting through the park.
