Ryanair Plane Which? The consumer services organisation announce the Best ans Worst airlines in their latest survey.

In September and October 2018, Which? asked its members to complete an online survey about their recent experiences of flying with an airline from the UK. Their annual survey reported on a total of over 12,000 flights of which over 10,000 were economy flights from over 7900 passengers.

They asked their members about customer service, food and drink, seat comfort, in-flight entertainment if applicable and their overall on board experience from more than 32 airlines, including British Airways, Emirates, Ryanair and easyJet.

The Dublin based carrier Ryanair was for the sixth year running rated as the worst airline in their survey achieving a score of just 40%, a score far worse than their main rival easyJet who scored 63%. Not only that, but a massive 70% of those surveyed named Ryanair as the airline they would never use again. Ryanair.

A Ryanair spokeswoman said “the research did not take into account the cost of fares - which is the single most important factor for UK consumers” - and described it as "totally unrepresentative" compared with its 141 million annual passengers.

Other top scoring short haul airlines were Aurigny scoring 81% and Swiss Airlines achieving an 80% score. Another budget airline Jet2 who is a Which recommended provider scored an impressive 75% receiving high scores for its service and the way it handles the boarding of passengers.

Airlines at the bottom of the ranking for short-haul flights were Thomas Cook Airlines scoring just 52%, Wizz Air 54%, Vueling Airlines 54% and British Airways 56%.
