Travel Aware Know Before You GoThe Foreign and Commonwealth office run a campaign aimed at all UK Residents looking to travel outside of the United Kingdom. It is now known as the Travel Aware Campaign formely Know Before You Go and has been set up to help British travellers stay safe overseas. UK Passport Service - It is everybodys nightmare to realise a week before going away that your passport has expired. So as soon as you begin thinking about travelling abroad you should check your passport, if you already have one, don't let it run out on you. If you don't already have a passport make sure you apply in good time either directly by getting an application form from your Post Office or using the 'Check and Send' service also available at your local Post Office. The UK Passport Service can provide all the information you need regarding your passport or passport application.

Health Advice from the Department of Health - The Department of Health website offers essential information and advice on how to avoid the need for health care when abroad. It also gives details on how to plan for healthy travelling and what to do to obtain emergency medical treatment in countries throughout the world. It explains how to get and use the Form GHIC (Formely EHIC - European Health Insurance Card), which will provide you with free or reduced-cost emergency medical treatment in countries within the European Economic Area.
