If you are travelling abroad as a family then a family travel insurance policy will cover each member of the family under the same policy, subject to the age of the children. We have a number of different policies with flexible levels of cover to choose from our panel of insurers, where you can choose either a single trip for one holiday or buy an annual multi trip policy if you are considering taking more than one holiday a year.

If buying a single trip policy you will be covered from the day you purchase your policy to when you get back home and can purchase your policy up to 18 months before your trip, so cancellation cover starts from the day you buy your insurance. Cancellation cover for annual cover starts from the date your policy starts.

Family travel insurance is an insurance policy which will cover typically one or two adults who live at the same address, plus at least one child aged 18 or under who permanently lives with them.

What does single trip travel insurance cover?

A family holiday insurance policy will cover you for medical expenses that you need to pay if you fall ill or injure yourself while on holiday. It also includes repatriation cover should you need to be brought home early because of your medical condition. Cancellation cover is included and there is also cover for lost or stolen baggage or valuables.

Can I get family travel insurance with a medical condition?
