About the Resort
The resort is sited right on the border between Andorra and France. It owes much of its development to the duty free sales to the French. It is not an attractive resort. It owes much of its looks to having been embraced by the concrete industry of the 1970s. Most of the accommodation is based conveniently by the lift base and slopes. The centre of the town has a good shopping area with a good selection of bars. It attracts a lot of French and Spanish families. The lift system spreads from Pas over 3 adjacent valleys. The valley furthest from Pas has onloy a lift station and nothing else. In the attractively wooded middle valley is Grau Roig which is a mini resort that acts as the access point for day visitors arriving by road, it makes a good base.
About the Mountains near Pas de la Casa
The slopes above Pas are all open appart from a couple of attractively wooded slopes in the central valley. So they are vulnerable to bad weather. The treeless loval slopes facing north east descend froma high north south ridge. Lifts fo up to it ant four points and the runs on the far side of the ridge converge on Grau Roig, which jhas some wooded terrain a the head of the valley. A single lift goes on further west to the bowl of Llac del Cubill where the Pas area joins the Soldeu one. There is a boarder-cross course and a half pipe.
Après Ski at Pas de la Casa
A mixed bag of good and not so good restaurants. It is a lively resort and does have some popular bars. There a some mountain restaurants at the ridge above Pas.
