About the Resort of Sun Peaks

Sun Peaks used to be called Tod Mountain and was a small ski area for locals. It is now a resort that, although small, has lots to offer the intermediate skier looking for cruising blues. In the main accommodation is condo based with some hotels. The village is being developed into an attractive location with a Tirolean feel. The main steet is traffic free and is lined with an attractive mix of shops and restaurants.

About the Mountains near Sun Peaks

Sun Peaks has the second largest ski area in BC, with over 3600 acres of terrain. There are three distinct sectors which are served by a high speed quad. Experts will find a few steep runs dotted around but with 61% of the slopes being blues, the resort is great for intermediates looking for easy groomed glades with mile after mile of graceful blues. Beginners are not overlooked and there are village centre slopes with plenty of easy greens to progress to.

Après Ski at Sun Peaks

There is only one mountain restaurant but the resort has a good choice serving a range of foods. The apres ski is varied and can be lively. Bars and nightclubs, plus fondue evenings and winter bonfires make this resort well liked by traditionalists.
