About the Resort
Gstaad has a well deserved reputation for being one of the most exclusive resorts. However, it remains a friendly and welcoming location that is geared towards relaxation. It is an all year round resort basking in its sunny situation. It has a traffic free main street and lots of smart shops and cafes.
About the Mountains near Gstaad
There are four main areas of fragmented slopes which are mostly below tree line and three of the sectors are accessed via lifts and served by a shuttle bus. The resort is not snow sure as most slopes are below 7000 ft. Most of the runs are suited to the intermediate with few challenging runs and adequate nursery slopes.
Après Ski at Gstaad
The mainly hotel based apres ski is lively and expensive. There are numerous attractive mountain restaurants.
